Tiger Population in Nepal Has Nearly Doubled Since 2009

Malaysia Halts Expansion of Palm Oil Plantations; Aims to Maintain Forests
Primary Industries Minister, Teresa Kok, said “We are committed to maintain at least 50 percent of the land as forest cover, so we won’t allow any expansion of these oil palm plantations.” When asked about future revenues, she mentioned the current glut in palm oil supply due to over production in Malaysia and Indonesia – the largest producers.
